I'm bringing my daughter, age 6 3/4, to Bil. Also joining the kid's panel is Ada, age 5. I also plan on bringing a variety of things for child-friendly experimentation, play and exploration:
- Legos
- magnifying loupe
- a 200x digital microscope that plugs into a TV set -- hopefully we'll find a TV to use with it
- materials for making various kinds of slime
- materials for making baking soda and vinegar film canister rockets
If you've got kids, bring them by and contribute some projects/materials of your own. We'll work out a program that is safe, fun and interesting for whatever kids show up. Feel free to suggest what you'll be bringing here on this wiki page. If you don't have kids, you can still show up and on ours.
Bonus parallel track: Bil participants are invited to come try to explain or demonstrate their ideas to children, as appropriate. Think of it as reaching the teenagers of a decade from now. Those who bore or confuse the kids may be gonged!
